GPS/WAAS NOTAMs 14 Sep 2009 The GPS/WAAS NOTAMs option will be on-line 16 Sep 2009. The user can retrieve Global Positioning System (GPS) and Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS) NOTAMs from a button on the DINS Home Page.
AFOD 14 Sep 2009 The redesigned AFOD functionality will be on-line 16 Sep 2009. The DINS CCR and Query AFOD functionality is redesigned using JAVA/J2EE technologies.
DINS Communication Requirements 22 June 2009 The following communication requirements are required to be maintained by NOTAM Authorities in order to access the Defense Internet NOTAM Service (DINS).
1. The Operating System must be MS Windows 2000 or XP only.
Microsoft Vista is not compatible at this time.

2. Internet browsers:
  • Microsoft 6.02x or above.
  • Firefox 3.x and higher
  • Processing NOTAMs to the FSS 10 Dec 2008 Lockheed Martin Flight Services (Washington Hub)
    In the interest of flight safety, the Washington Hub will no longer accept NOTAMs via fax. Please process NOTAMs using one of the following methods:
    1. Call our toll-free number 1-877-487-6867 (1-877-4-US-NTMS)
    2. E-NOTAM system.    Note: E-NOTAM system access can be obtained at https://www.lme-notam.com. Use the "Access Request" feature to receive a user-name and password.

    DINS Communication Requirements 20 Nov 2008 The following communication requirements are required to be maintained by NOTAM Authorities in order to access the Defense Internet NOTAM Service (DINS).
    1. The Operating System must be MS Windows 2000 or XP only.

    2. Internet browsers:
  • Microsoft 6.02x or above.
  • Netscape 7.2 or above.
  • Domestic Local NOTAMs January 25, 2007 The DINS Query site was upgraded to support domestic local NOTAMs. When they became available, domestic local NOTAMs will start with a 'Z'. A messaged will be posted to the DINS Query page when the exact date is determined. Contact a Military NOTAMs coordinator for any questions.
    CCR Header Link Change June 26, 2006 On Tuesday, June 27th the following changes will be made to the CCR Header links:
  • The Advanced Query and Host Nation links will no longer require users to enter their password a second time.
  • The 'CCR Users Guide' was renamed to 'Users Guide'
  • The BASEOPS link was removed. All the BASEOPS information was redesigned and incorporated into the DINS new home page.
  • An 'Updates' link was added. (This points to the old BASEOPS AdminNotes page that informs users of changes to the DINS CCR and Query web sites.)
  • New Query Options May 1, 2006 On Wednesday, May 3rd there will be two new buttons added to the Advanced NOTAM Functions, Presidential NOTAMs and FDC Special Notice. Also, the AFOD and Birdtams functions will be moved to the Custom DINS Services.
    Query Update Apr. 07, 2006 On Monday, April 10 there will be a new feature added to the Custom DINS Services called FIR NOTAMs. This new service is primarily for users that need to gather NOTAMs from a particular FIR/ARTCC and all associated locations. It is limited to one locations at a time because of NOTAM volume, one request could retrieved over 500 NOTAMs.
    CCR Updates Mar. 30, 2006 On Thursday, March 30 there was a new CCR release installed. This release will insert the following header text into the E field Condition text when creating the following NOTAMs:
  • [DOD PROCEDURAL NOTAM] inserted for V series
  • [DAFIF AND/OR FLIP CHANGE] inserted for W series created by KQZC
  • [DEFENSE ENERGY SUPPORT CENTER] inserted for F series created by DESC
  • Important: When the series is changed the system will refresh the Create a NOTAM page.
  • New DINS Home Page Mar. 28, 2006 The DINS main cover page has gone through a major changes, however no capabilities were removed. Users will be able to find all DINS features from the DINS home page, such as links to the DINS CCR site, the Certificate Server, in addtion to the DINS Backup Sites.
    Old CCR sites deactivated. Dec 6, 2005 Effective immediately; The old primary and secondary CCR sites (ccrnotams.notams.jcs.mil and ccrnotams.notams.faa.gov) have been deactivated. All users that input NOTAMs to the NOTAM system, (Create, Cancel, and Replace NOTAMs) will use the new DINS CCR site https://www.dinsccr.notams.jcs.mil). Please refer to the DINS CCR Guide (Located on the "DINS BASEOPS Home Page" under "Training Guides & Aids") for CCR application training and certificate instructions. Note: AFOD and Host Nation web applications will still be accessed through previously established sites Contact a DoD NOTAM Coordinator with any questions at DSN 312-994-4205.
    Deactivate old CCR sites Nov 16, 2005 Effective immediately; All users that input NOTAMs to the NOTAM system, (Create, Cancel, and Replace NOTAMs) will use the new DINS CCR site (https://www.dinsccr.notams.jcs.mil). The old "secondary" CCR site, "ccrnotams.notams.faa.gov", is deactivated.

    Effective December 5, 2005, the old "primary" CCR site, "ccrnotams.notams.jcs.mil" will be deactivated.

    Note: AFOD and Host Nation web applications will still be accessed through previously established sites

    New CCR Web Application now available Oct. 28, 2005 The Defense Internet NOTAM Service has implemented new CCR Web applications at https://www.dinsccr.notams.jcs.mil This system has been redesigned to assist CCR users with performing and tracking NOTAM duties. Prior to switching to the new system, every user will read the new CCR Users Guide. Contact a DoD NOTAM Coordinator with any questions at DSN 312-994-4205. Please note the important items listed below:
    • The entire CCR system has been changed. The CCR training guide can be downloaded from either the CCR or the Base Ops Home Page.
    • Users are to pay particular attention to pages 16 and 17 of the CCR Users Guide when replacing a NOTAM that was created using the old system (https://ccrnotam.notams.jcs.mil).
    • The old system will be available for a period of time. However, once a user switches to the new system, they should never go back to using the old system unless instructed to do so by a DoD NOTAM Coordinator.
    • Users that want to switch to Microsoft IE must first request and install a DINS encrypted certificate using your Microsoft IE browser. The DINS certificate web site is https://dinscert.notams.jcs.mil. Refer to the new DINS CCR User training Manual for more information.
    Attention CCR Users 09 July 2005 Be advised that all users responsible for Creating, Replacing or Canceling Military Safety and Local NOTAMs must ensure that they are using Netscape Browser versions 7.x or 8.0.2 or Microsoft IE 6.x. If not, you will not be able to perform CCR activities when the New CCR system is deployed in approximately 45 - 60 days. To determine your Netscape or IE browser version, open your browser and click on 'Help' at the top of your screen and then click on 'About Netscape' or 'About Communicator' or 'About Internet Explorer'. The next page displayed will contain your browsers version. If you have any questions, contact a Military NOTAM Specialist or your local LAN administrator for assistance.     New Joint NOTAM Instructions October 6, 2004 The new DoD Notice to Airmen System AFI 11-208 (I) dated 01 Aug 2004 is now available.
